APPOINTMENT

Medical group adds practice — Premier Medical Group, Poughkeepsie, recently announced that the office of Dr. Leonard Gerber and Dr. Christopher Bromley, who specialize in podiatric medicine and foot surgery, has joined its group of providers.

The addition of the practice will bring five new podiatrists to the group’s existing podiatry division.

Gerber and Bromley, along with Dr. F. Gabrielle Summers, Dr. Audra Siegel, Dr. Dany Jabbour, and staff will continue to see patients at their 22 Fairmont Ave., Poughkeepsie location.

“Dr. Gerber and Bromley’s group has an impressive and exemplary background in foot and ankle care, and surgery. They practice compassionate, patient centered medicine and we are very fortunate to have them join our group,” said Dr. Sunil Khurana, CEO of Premier Medical Group.

The physicians at Premier’s podiatry division provide diagnosis and therapies to treat a wide range of podiatric conditions.

Arts group seeks nominees — Arts Mid-Hudson, Poughkeepsie, recently announced it is accepting nominations for the 30th annual Dutchess County Executive’s Arts Awards.

Dutchess County residents, businesses and corporations are eligible. Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, in partnership with Arts Mid-Hudson, annually recognizes people and organizations that contribute to the arts in the area.

Categories for the awards include: individual artist, patron, arts organization, business/corporation, arts in education, individual artist, art in public places, special citation, artivist, volunteer, and student with exceptional promise in the arts. Nominations must be received by Monday, May 2.

Award recipients will be recognized by Molinaro, along with the county’s arts, cultural, civic and business leaders and elected officials at an event on Oct. 6.

Chamber to host meeting — The Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly breakfast meeting 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the Anderson Center for Autism, 4885 Route 9, Staatsburg.

Guest speaker Eliza Bozenski, director of the Anderson Foundation for Autism, will share an audio montage from her radio interviews from businesses that support and are connected with autism.
