Arts and Athletics

“Andrew is always excited to return “home” to Anderson. He misses playing volleyball, creating collages and his friends. He also looks forward to going back to school.” – Erin, Anderson Parent

At Anderson, we provide a well-rounded environment for our children and adults.  Many of these activities are not considered “essential” by the government, therefore they are not funded. However, Anderson DOES consider these essential! They absolutely improve everyone’s quality of life. Our private fundraising ensures the continuation – and expansion – of activities that guarantee those in our care live a healthy happy life. Here are a few activities that have a true impact on children and adults at Anderson:

  • Creative Arts
  • Bowling League
  • Cooking
  • Cultural Festival
  • Gardening
  • Harvest Celebration
  • Field Trips
  • Holiday Parties
  • Ice Skating
  • Recreation Programs
  • Special Olympics
  • Trips to see Mets, Yankees and other sports teams

It’s just such rewarding work, and it’s so vital, so needed.
