Rhinebeck seeks to become Autism Supportive Community

RHINEBECK, N.Y — The Anderson Center for Autism is partnering with the Village of Rhinebeck to create the first Autism Supportive Community in the Hudson Valley region.

Individuals, businesses, places of worship, schools, nonprofits and community groups are encouraged to join in and attend the next Autism Supportive Community session on Monday, Jan. 28 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

During the session there will be an overview of the initiative, the autism spectrum disorder and examples of what stakeholders, an individual or group who will obtain training and support the engagement of others.

Details about a training session on Feb. 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Beekman Arms will be shared.
