My brother Riley is on the autism spectrum and receives services at Anderson Center for Autism where he is continuing his lifelong learning journey. Riley resides in an adult group home and attends a Day Habilitation program during the school week. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSince 2017\, I have been coordinating an annual Pajama Day fundraiser with the incredible participation of school districts across the state\, and support from friends\, family\, and community members. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the next ECHO Autism Anderson: Education\, virtual case presentation followed by a knowledge burst titled “Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)” on Thursday\, March 21\, 2024 from 12:00PM to 1:30PM. \n\n\n\nClick here to register\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO®) is an “all teach\, all learn” framework that crosses disciplines aimed to create communities of practice for change. The mission of ECHO is to make knowledge accessible at the right time. Following the groundbreaking model developed by Dr. Sanjeev Arora at the University of New Mexico\, every ECHO program is inclusive and nonhierarchical. The contribution of a single ECHO specialist contributes to the development of 20 or more local experts\, who use their knowledge to positively impact the lives of people in their communities. ECHO breaks down geographic and cost barriers providing knowledge increase capacity of community experts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe ECHO Autism Best Practices program aims to increase the capacity of school personnel in autism best practices to support autistic individuals \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow Does ECHO® work?Each 90-minute monthly ECHO Program session includes a de-identified case presentation by a community-based educational provider and a didactic presentation by the ECHO Autism team. Time is allowed for questions and answers.ECHO program session occurs the third Thursday of each month. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQuestions?
