We hope this “Who’s Who” directory helps to clarify points of contact for you.

you so that together we can make a positive impact on the quality of life of the individuals we serve!

Michael is the Director of Children’s Services. He possesses over 20 years of experience in the special education field, with over 7 years as a School Principal for students with a wide variety of special needs.  Michael’s prior experience also includes over 10 years of experience teaching special education, analyzing student performance data to develop school remediation programs, writing standard based curriculum and coaching instructional staff in delivering curriculum effectively to all learners.  Michael possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fordham University, a Master’s degree in Special Education from New York University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in School Building and School District Administration from SUNY New Paltz.

Maria is the Children’s Residential Program Administrator who works closely with the Director and Coordinators of Children’s Services in implementing programming initiatives in our children’s program. Before joining Anderson in 2017, Maria worked as a Behavior Specialist for an agency that served adults and children with IDD. She joined Anderson as a Behavior Analyst and then as the Program Specialist in our Adult Program. Maria received her Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from The Sage Colleges and received her Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification in August of 2017. She is a NYS licensed Behavior Analyst since 2019.

Jay is our school Principal. He came to Anderson as a Teacher’s Assistant in 2006. Since that time, he has held a variety of positions including Qualified Mental Retardation Professional (QMRP) of our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF), Classroom Teacher, Manager of the ICF and Assistant Principal. Jay earned his Master’s degree in Special Education at Mercy College and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University at Albany. In 2016, he earned an Administration degree in School Building and School District Leadership from SUNY New Paltz.

Julie is our Assistant Principal. She began working as a teacher at Anderson in 2013 with three years of teaching experience.  After teaching for three years, she became the Education Specialist where she worked with teachers to increase data based decision making, improve evidence based practices, and identify and implement effective curriculum and IEP goals.  Julie has a Master of Arts in Education/Curriculum and Instruction, is dual certified in elementary and special education. She has completed the School Building and School District Leadership program at SUNY New Paltz and is awaiting her Administration Certification.

Sabrina is our Education Specialist who joined Anderson in 2018.  She has over 10 years’ experience in Special Education and School Administration.  Sabrina began her career in Special Education as an ABA tutor while pursuing her undergraduate dual degree in Psychology and Human Development at SUNY Binghamton. She holds Master’s degrees in Special Education and Education as well as a Master’s Degree in School Building Leadership from Mercy College.  Sabrina’s goal for the future is to pursue a PhD in Special Education and continue supporting all students’ quality of education.

Ashok is the IEP coordinator for Children’s Services. Ashok began his career at Anderson in 2000 as the CSE Chair and later transitioned to being the IEP Coordinator for all school district placed students.  He monitors the aging out process for students who have graduated. He also supervises the Case Management department in the Children’s Program. In addition to both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Psychology from India, Ashok holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Lehigh University.  He has been certified in the area of special education, and has earned his school administration certificate from SUNY New Paltz.

Denise joined Anderson in 2007 as a Day Habilitation Instructor in our Adult Services Program, implementing programs and teaching skill development to the adults we serve. In 2016, she took on a new position as Case Manager in our Children’s Program working with parents providing support in the coordination of services for their child. Denise moved on to become the Transition Coordinator in 2019 where she promotes the development of post-secondary readiness skills including daily living, pre-vocational, and vocational programs and community-based instruction. Denise earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Administration from SUNY Empire in 2015.

Amanda is the Supervisor of Children’s Behavioral Services. She has been at Anderson since 2015 and she holds the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) credentials. She is also a SCIP-R Curriculum and Trauma Informed Care instructor for the agency. Amanda has a Bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo (Go Bulls!). Her behavior analytic coursework was completed through Florida Institute of Technology. Amanda is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. She also teaches Master’s level Applied Behavior Analysis courses at ACA through our partnership with Manhattanville College. As a lifelong learner, she is passionate about finding ways to use the principles of ABA in every domain, from employee development to participant growth!

Tony is a Coordinator of the Children’s Residential Program.  He has been with Anderson for over 30 years and has held many different positions in the Children’s Program including Residential Supervisor, Team Leader and Service Delivery Specialist. Prior to coming to Anderson, he attended college at SUNY Ulster and later at SUNY New Paltz. He worked in the mental health field and the Geriatric field but found his calling working with children as a direct care worker at the Rhinebeck Country School.

Laura is a Coordinator of the Children's Residential Program. She has worked in the field for more than ten years. Her experience ranges from intermediate supervisory positions to direct care. She has an educational background in business management and an Associate’s degree in Arts in Human Services. She is working on her Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Administration.

Nigel is a Coordinator of the Children's Residential Program. He has been with Anderson since 2010 and has held many different positions in the Children's Program, including Shift Supervisor and Residence Manager. He has an educational background in Human Resource Management and an Associate's degree in Communication & Media Arts. He is currently working on his Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management at Marist.
