CEO of Anderson Center for Autism Delivers Inaugural Address to Full Crowd on Saturday 1/28/17 Staatsburg, New York
Earlier today, during a special event hosted by Anderson Family Partners at Anderson Education Center (located on the Anderson Center for Autism campus) newly appointed executive director and CEO Patrick Paul delivered an inaugural address to a full audience comprised of family members, board members, volunteers, employees, community members, donors, and stakeholders, highlighting both opportunities and challenges for the organization in the years ahead.
“Anderson must refine, improve, innovate, and create. We must tap into the skills, resources, and motivation of our employees; we must advance our information technology systems, and progress our service delivery. In short, we must plan on doing much more with much less,” Paul stated during the presentation.
Paul focused on the need for advocacy, and how the Center will continue to position itself to address the needs of individuals and families touched by Autism Spectrum Disorder; Centers for Disease Control reported in 2014 that 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with the neurological disorder which impacts speech, fine and gross motor skills, socialization, processing, and more. Paul also showcased Anderson’s signature LifeLong Learning℠ System and Anderson’s Quality of Life initiative, designed to measure domains such as self-determination, emotional well-being, physical well-being, material well-being, rights, personal development, social inclusion, and interpersonal relations to measure quality of life.
