Date December 25, 2015

STAATSBURG – Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro will be sworn in for his second four-year term during a ceremony Monday at the Anderson Center for Autism, 4885 Route 9.

The ceremony will begin at noon in the Education Center Auditorium at Anderson.

The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

Molinaro, 40, a Republican from Red Hook, was re-elected Nov. 3, defeating former county Comptroller Diane Jablonski by a wide margin.

His second term formally starts Jan. 1.

Molinaro first was elected county executive in 2011, succeeding fellow Republican William Steinhaus. Molinaro was a state assemblyman before winning the county’s top job.

Molinaro began his government career at 18 as a village of Tivoli trustee. He was elected Tivoli mayor in 1995 and then served as a county legislator before winning an Assembly seat.
