This weekend’s 1 in 36 guests are Bill Burke & Angela Parisi. Bill is the education chairman and a volunteer at the Oyster Bay Railroad Museum. Angela is the transition supervisor for the children’s day program at the Center for Developmental Disabilities located in Woodbury, NY. She oversees the vocational programming, community integration, and linkages to adult services for students aging out. The Center provides comprehensive services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The museum and the Center have joined together to create the VIP program, a shared, informal vocational education enterprise. Their shared mission is to create a dynamic program focused on service for young adults to accomplish educational, vocational and self esteem outcomes central to all members of our community.
