April 11, 2024 STAATSBURG, N.Y. — The Anderson Center for Autism is set to launch a $1 million fundraising campaign, according to an announcement.
The fundraising campaign will go towards the reconstruction of the Dellinwood building at the Center’s Staatsburg campus, a historic 11,000-square foot carriage house. The new building, called “New Dellinwood,” will house several current Anderson Center programs, an announcement said.
According to the announcement, “New Dellinwood” will be fitted with both indoor and outdoor conference spaces as well as practice rooms for clinical, medical, and dental trainees. A “living classroom” will be constructed, giving an example of an autism-supportive environment to visitors to the Anderson Center.
The budget for the capital project is $10 million, the announcement said. The Anderson Center has been awarded several grants, which offset some of the expenses. According to the announcement, fundraising will come from direct monetary donations as well as gifts of stock.
