STAATSBURG, N.Y. — The Anderson Center for Autism says a donation of 100 computers from the 109th Airlift Wing and Department of Defense’s Computers for Learning program has allowed the nonprofit to replace some of its older technology.
The program provides equipment to schools and educational nonprofit organizations serving grades pre-K through 12 and allows for the transfer of excess and surplus equipment.
The donation was coordinated by a parent of an Anderson Center for Autism student, and would have been repurposed or destroyed were it not for the donation program.
Programs like Computers for Learning provide necessary resources to the Anderson Center and allows the ACA to work towards the optimization of the quality of life of those it serves.
