Staatsburg, New York…The executive leadership team and Board of Trustees of Anderson Foundation for Autism announced today the launch of a grantmaking program; applications are now available online.
Among other qualifying criteria, those pursuing Anderson Foundation grant awards must have 501(c)3 status and demonstrate a commitment to furthering Anderson Center for Autism’s mission of “optimizing the quality of life for individuals with autism.”
Explained Kevin Kollar, President of Anderson Foundation for Autism’s Board of Trustees: “Anderson Foundation for Autism was established to support and sustain Anderson Center for Autism’s efforts – but thanks to our generous donors, we are now positioned to help make possible the important work of other nonprofits as well. In 2024, we intend to award up to $50,000 in total, which for the professionals and groups doing meaningful, inspiring work in our field can have a real impact for individuals with autism. This is a pivotal moment for our Foundation and I have no doubt that we will get many proposals aligned with our objectives. On behalf of all of our trustees, I want to say how excited we are to award grants to those who will bring our mission to life in their own unique ways.”
Said Patrick Paul, CEO/Executive Director of Anderson Center for Autism, “2024 marks Anderson Center for Autism’s centennial year – an ideal time to begin utilizing some of our Foundation’s resources to empower other organizations. Our grantmaking program captures the spirit of what we have been doing for the last 100 years, and what we hope to achieve in the next century in Anderson’s story – which is to do everything we can to maximize potential for autistic and neurodivergent individuals.”
Kollar and fellow members of Anderson Foundation’s Board of Trustees will meet quarterly to review grant applications; employees of Anderson Center for Autism will not be included in the review and selection process. Grantees will be required to provide outcome updates to Anderson Foundation for Autism following award disbursements.
“Anderson Foundation for Autism’s grantmaking initiative will take all of our fundraising success to the next level, allowing Anderson to make an even greater impact. We look forward to empowering the grantees who share a commitment to our cause,” said Paul.
