The Anderson Center for Autism, based in Staatsburg, announced that Mary Nichols has been named the organization’s newest licensed clinical psychologist.

The appointment of Nichols to the team supports Anderson’s offerings of diagnostic and evaluation services to several communities throughout the region, an announcement said.

A graduate of the University of Hartford (doctor of psychology, clinical psychology, 2012; master of arts, clinical practices of psychology, 2005), and Union College (bachelor of science in psychology, 2000), Nichols has been a member of Phi Beta Kappa since 2000. She most recently served as director of clinical outcomes at Astor Services for Children and Families, along with working as an adjunct professor at Marist College. Prior to that, Nichols worked in a variety of other clinical and educational settings while conducting research and authoring articles.

Nichols is based at Anderson Center for Autism’s Staatsburg campus, where the clinical psychologist conducts evaluations through the clinic there. Once a week, she also travels to The Anderson Center Clinic, which recently opened in Latham, New York, where she likewise conducts evaluations.
