Craft Brew Tapped for Anderson Center for Autism Fundraiser
Mill House Brewing Company Announces Return of Mr. Anderson Ale Tradition, brewing a philanthropic beer to raise funds and awareness for Anderson Center for Autism
Anderson Center for Autism and Mill House Brewing Company today announced details of the 2023 Mr. Anderson Ale event. The annual celebration and fundraiser serves as the official “launch” of a craft brew named for the founder of Anderson Center for Autism. It will take place this year on Thursday, March 30th from 5-7pm at Mill House Brewing Company, 289 Mill Street in Poughkeepsie.

Explained Patrick Paul, CEO/Executive Director of Anderson Center for Autism: “This has become a highly anticipated tradition which was sorely missed when we had to take a hiatus during the pandemic. Not only does Mr. Anderson Ale raise funds to help us carry out our mission of optimizing the quality of life for people with autism, but it also helps build greater awareness. We are ever grateful to the team at Mill House for their dedication to our cause, and we look forward to raising a glass with everyone who comes out in support of Anderson’s mission that night.”

Eliza Bozenski, Chief Development Officer for Anderson Foundation for Autism: “Mill House Brewing Company’s special brew represents a fun, creative way to honor our founder, our rich history, and our decades of service to people with special needs. Our guests and team members enjoy the event each year, and we encourage anyone who has not been in the past to join us on March 30th.”

Bozenski noted that Victor V. Anderson, for whom Mr. Anderson Ale is named, established Anderson School nearly 100 years ago in 1924. “Since that time, the organization has grown, expanded, and evolved – and of course is now known as Anderson Center for Autism. Victor Anderson’s grandson, Vance Gage, who served as honorary brewmaster when the first batch was created, maintains involvement with our organization as a member of Anderson Foundation for Autism’s Board of Trustees; he plans to be in attendance at the event as well.”

Proceeds of the event will directly benefit programs and services provided by Anderson Center for Autism. Tickets are $35 per person. Beer, wine, and appetizers are included. Following the launch event on March 30th, $1 of every pint sold by Mill House Brewin Company during April (Autism Awareness Month) will be donated to Anderson Center for Autism.
