Throughout our lives, we all have times when we could benefit from the guiding hand of an advocate – someone who caringly uses their knowledge and expertise to support you, protect you and steer you in the direction that is in your best interest.
At Anderson Center, our experienced case managers are the primary advocates for the children and adults we serve. Each also acts as the voice, eyes and ears for the family in terms of the individual’s overall care and quality of life.
In the best interest of each individual and their unique needs, our case managers:
- Play a crucial role in facilitating adult placement for aging-out students.
- Act as a liaison with outside agencies to coordinate screening and observation visits as part of the adult placement process.
- Actively assist parents in accessing benefits and entitlements that are available for their child.
- Lend support through the guardianship process.
