Tina Covington, PhD
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Tina Marie Covington became Anderson’s first Chief Program Officer in November 2017. In January 2018, she became the agency’s Chief Operating Officer. First introduced to Autism Spectrum Disorder during an undergraduate fieldwork course at the University of Kentucky, she developed a passion for working with individuals with autism and has never looked back. Dr. Covington comes to Anderson with a wealth of credentials and experience including a BA in Psychology from the University of Kentucky, an MA in Special Education/Behavior Disorders from Columbia University, a Ph.D. in Special Education/Behavior Disorders from Columbia University and SDL Advanced Certificate in School Leadership from Bank Street College. She is a licensed board certified Behavior Analyst. Prior to joining the Anderson team, Dr. Covington worked at The Hawthorne Country Day School where she held a variety of positions most recently as Executive Director. Other experiences include the Fred S. Keller School and Manhattanville College as an Adjunct Professor.
